WildSpark Technologies atmospheric plasma propulsion concept has been selected as a finalist in the U.S. Army xTechSearch Challenge. On October 10, 2018 WildSpark Technologies will present on its technology concept in the Innovator’s Corner space within the Association of the U.S. Army’s (AUSA) annual meeting in Washington D.C.
WildSpark’s concept would enable drones and other small air vehicles to lift off and move without propellers. This concept is in the early stages of development. If awarded, WildSpark would have the opportunity to further develop this concept and build a drone to demonstrate and evaluate its promise. This concept eliminates the risk of propeller contact injuries caused by drones operating close to people and may have further applications in the emerging air taxi market.
“We are thrilled to be part of this challenge”, said Andrew Dickens, founder of WildSpark Technologies. “Challenges like this provide an excellent way to match novel technology ideas to real world problems. We’re proud to be a part of this program.”
